The Top Wi-Fi Mesh Network Systems –Multiple Satelite

If you need to connect a large space, with Wi-Fi dead zones that a regular wireless router can’t reach, then a multi-node mesh system that you control from your smartphone may be the solution.
Check out our recommended models below.

Google Wifi

Wi-Fi systems let you create a far-reaching wireless network in your home without the need for router range extenders or additional wiring.
Most systems, including Google Wifi (pictured above), use mesh tech to link multiple satellite modules that act as individual routers. Delivering seamless wireless connectivity on a single network, Google’s system is easy to install, configure and manage (using the free Android or iOS mobile app), looks great, and delivers solid throughput speeds.
A single unit (a sleek and discreet 2.7-inch high matte white cylinder) provides coverage for an area of up to 1,500 square feet – allowing you to connect all of the tablets, laptops or phones in your home.

Netgear Orbi High-Performance AC3000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi System (RBK50)

Comprising one router and a single satellite device, the Netgear Orbi set-up uses Tri-Band Wi-Fi to deliver a strong, high-speed signal to an area of up to 4,000 square feet. If you need to connect an even larger space, further satellite nodes can also be purchased separately.
Offering seamless super-fast 4K video streaming and gaming without lag, buffering or dropped connections, the Orbi system is simple to install, and comes pre-configured straight out of the box. Whereas most mesh systems are configured and controlled using a mobile app, this model is managed using a Web-based console.

Linksys Velop

Again utilising the power of Tri-Band Wi-Fi, the Linksys Velop consists of three interconnected glossy-white tapered mini towers (or nodes) that stand at an unobtrusive 7.28 inches tall.
Multi-User Multiple Input, Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) enabled, this system covers up to 6,000 square feet, providing maximum speeds of up to 400Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 867Mbps on each of the two 5GHz bands.
Set-up is simple, via a user-friendly app, which keeps you informed of your network status and solves any Wi-Fi interruptions. Nodes are also designed to work with Amazon’s Alexa, and are backed up by a three-year warranty and tech support.

Securifi Almond 3 Smart Home Wi-Fi System

A dual-band router system that also doubles as a home-automation hub, the Securifi Almond 3 Smart Home Wi-Fi System brings wireless connectivity to all areas of your home.
It’s speedy to install (taking just three minutes) and manage, using the tiny touchscreen wizard on the side of the device. You can also manage the Almond 3 from your phone using an iOS or Android app, or from your desktop using a Web-based console.
This system offers multiple LAN ports and USB connectivity, supports maximum speeds of 300Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 867Mbps on the 5GHz band, and is compatible with any existing routers you may own.
On the downside, it’s not the most attractive model on the market, nor is it the strongest performer.

Ubiquiti Amplifi HD Home Wi-Fi System

The stylish and discreetly designed Ubiquiti Amplifi HD Home Wi-Fi System comprises a dual-band router cube, along with two oversized mesh points that you plug into a wall outlet.
A truly powerful performer, the system uses six high-density, long-range antennas to cover up to 20,000 square feet, with throughput speeds of up to 5.25Gbps (1.75Gbps from the router and 1.75Gbps from each mesh point). Again, it’s a breeze to install, and can be easily re-configured and controlled via a dedicated app.
